Patent Group Legal Intern

The Patent Group Legal Intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Downloading Images of Nerf Products to the corresponding CPI case records (for Kate Neal Customs Nerf Reports)
  • Conducting online searches for competitor Nerf Products (darts/projectiles) that run afoul of our utility/design patents
  • Updating our Nerf Patent Portfolio with concepts, including creating a list of products that use these patent concepts
  • Transferring the cost records from years 2008 through 2012 from the Patent Expenses Database

 

Requirements:

  • Computer Science major strongly preferred
  • Strong analytics skills: ability to compiles reports to determine missing data, retrieving and transferring missing data from several patent databases, communicates with Senior Patent Paralegal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and make alternative suggestions to achieve success when necessary
